Introduction to CENC
Being one of China Earthquake Administration’s institutions, China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC) is an important pivot, a platform of kernel technology and the windows of international information exchange for China’s protecting against and mitigating earthquake disasters.
CENC undertakes the tasks of nationwide earthquake observation, medium and short term earthquake prediction, and rapid earthquake locating information; maintaining the emergency response and command-and-decision-making technical system for National Headquarter for Earthquake Resistance and Disaster Relief of the State Council; supervising nationwide earthquake observations at all levels; collecting and processing various earthquake observation data, and providing data service; providing seismic information research and publishing earthquake scie-tech periodicals.
CENC processes a high level professional team with 26 professors, 98 associate professors and senior engineers, 12 of them with PhD degree and 39 with Ma degree.
